Join the AutoForm Global Webinar: Virtual Tool Buy-Off as Stamping Process Engineering Validation, May 22

Theory and practice on why and how to embed this method in the stamping process engineering

In this webinar, we will explore:

  • Why virtual tool buy-off must replace today’s conventional validation process
  • How this approach ensures enhanced quality across the entire stamping process
  • Essential tasks required to successfully navigate the virtual tool buy-off phase and seamlessly progress to tool manufacturing

In a world that moves faster every day, compromising quality is not an option, especially not in the sheet metal stamping industry. Quality is not a trade-off; a loss of quality will inexorably lead to an increase of costs that will jeopardize the sustainability of the business. Quality must be planned, must be engineered, executed, and maintained (and improved).

Ensuring quality goes beyond methodical planning; it extends to defining tool geometries and process parameters that validate production intent. But how do we achieve that? By aligning with the validation criteria used in tool shop during tool buy-off, as mandated by industry standards. In essence, it needs to ensure that the digital process will deliver compliant parts even when parameters and material properties vary within normal ranges, ranges that reflect real conditions. In other words, we need to achieve what we term as the “virtual tool buy-off”!

In this webinar we will go through the analyses that must be performed during engineering to pass virtual tool buy-off and deliver downstream as well as in-quality process design.

Who should join:

Process Engineers and tool & die department managers, quality engineers and quality managers (in-house & supplier) and everyone who has a stake in engineer and manufacture stamping die lines. Tool shop managers should also join as they will get an overview of what kind of additional data they may get from their colleagues in engineering.
